Mission & Background
The Northeast Indiana Local Food Network will support the growth of a vibrant local food marketplace across Northeast Indiana, by increasing the visibility and economic opportunities for our region’s local food producers and businesses, so they can expand their sales both locally and beyond.
In 2016, the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership identified the need to implement an ambitious action plan for strengthening local food networks across Northeast Indiana. They brought together economic development leaders and local food system stakeholders under the umbrella of a regional steering committee. In 2017, that committee launched the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network to support growth of a vibrant local food marketplace across Northeast Indiana.
The Northeast Indiana Local Food Network works to enhance the quality of place of Northeast Indiana by promoting local food culture in the region and supporting local food entrepreneurship.

Our Fiscal Sponsor
We are grateful to Wells County Revitalization Committee, Inc for their 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsorship of the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network. This valuable support during our launch and early stages, will enable us to build a strong foundation from which we can grow and establish our own 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status over the next few years.
“The recent progress of the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network is very encouraging. As the network continues to expand, it will be a positive force in the quality of life of our communities while advancing entrepreneurship throughout our region—important elements in attracting and retaining talent in Northeast Indiana.”
