Local Food Throwdown
Marking our 4th annual tradition following successful events in 2021, 2022, and 2025, the Local Food Throwdown has become a beloved regional cornerstone celebration of Northeast Indiana’s local food system. Traditionally held on a Monday evening to accommodate busy chef schedules and timed just after the peak harvest to showcase the absolute best of late-season local agriculture, this year's event at The Pearl Event Center brought together Northeast Indiana's top culinary talent, local growers, passionate local food producers and community supporters for an unforgettable evening.
Guests enjoyed an exceptional three course menu crafted from regional ingredients, paired with a full bar featuring specialty cocktails and mocktails highlighting local flavors. The evening was expertly guided by our emcee and Fort Wayne foodie, Pat Hoffmann of WANE 15 and filled with wonderful live music by Amber Feichter. Attendees also gained powerful insights from guest speakers Jeff and Zach Hawkins and Dr. Sarah GiaQuinta, who highlighted the real world connections between local agriculture, farm partnerships, and community health.
Beyond the celebration of incredible food and music, supporters came together through ticket purchases, competitive silent auction bids on unique local experiences, and themed raffle baskets, all helping to power a thriving regional food system. Proceeds directly fund our 11 county mission: supporting food hub development, expanding farm to school initiatives, and building a resilient food system that sustains our nonprofit operations and nourishes every family.
