Celebrate Farm to School Month: New video & Apple Crunch

October is National Farm to School Month!

Join the celebration by crunching into a juicy apple from a local orchard for Apple Crunch (See flyer below) and watching our latest video Farm to School: Bridging the Gap Between Local Food and Local Kids.

Farm to School: Bridging the Gap Between Local Food and Local Kids was produced by Parkview Health and the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network in collaboration with the Northeast Indiana Farm to School Team. to highlight how regional farm to school programs help children enjoy new healthy foods, learn where they come from, and develop a greater understanding and appreciation for foods produced on farms right here in Northeast Indiana.

Narrated by Kylee Bennett, Youth Well-being Coordinator for Parkview Health and Director of the Northeast Indiana Farm to School Team, this video shares insights from educators, community wellness professionals, school food service directors and local producers all working to advance farm to school initiatives in our region.

We are grateful to Paul VanCamp, E-Learning Production Specialist with Parkview Health and Becca Malott, Parkview Intern for all the time and attention they devoted to the production of this video.
