The Parkview Health Community Well-being team is leading the following initiatives to help our community learn to grow and consume more healthy locally-sourced food.

Northeast Indiana Farm to School: Parkview Community Well-Being oversees a USDA planning grant, bringing a wide variety of regional schools and partners together to plan ways to advance local food use, agriculture and nutrition education. As a result, the Northeast Indiana Farm to School team was formed, which collaborates through community partnerships to generate awareness, create sustainable educational and agricultural opportunities, and support healthy living. The team bridges the gap between local farmers, schools, and the community to cultivate a healthy environment where every person can live a life of well-being, success, and purpose. Parkview Community Greenhouse & Learning Kitchen: The Parkview Community Greenhouse & Learning Kitchen is focused on revolutionizing our community’s involvement in restoring and advancing health and well-being, combating childhood obesity, reversing chronic disease and educating all ages about how to grow, harvest and prepare fresh produce. This location provides skill building classes on growing and preparing food, produces vegetables for classes and food access initiatives and is home to one of the HEAL farmer's markets during the Summer.
