Poplar Village Gardens is a 3 acre urban food forest building community by growing food together. Produce grown on site is donated to neighborhood residents, churches and Miss Virginia's Food Pantry. We focus on growing and living sustainably and host a Forward Indiana community food pantry.

About this Event
Learn to make mead with our mead and cider maker, Edison Bender. You will use fruit provided by local farms to create a melomel, or fruited mead. He will walk you through the process step by step, with plenty of opportunities for questions and exploration.

Ticket includes: Mead making class, and a bottles of the finished mead for pickup once fermentation is complete.

Join us at Moo-Over for a behind-the-scenes look at Fort Wayne’s only verified dedicated gluten-free boutique dessert shop! Guests will experience how we create scratch-made ice cream and desserts that are completely gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and peanut-free in our dedicated kitchen.

During Local Food Week, we will be partnering with a local farmer to feature seasonal fruit-inspired desserts and ice cream flavors made with fresh strawberries, peaches, and blueberries. Guests can enjoy specialty ice cream flavors, fresh baked pies, tastings, and learn more about how local ingredients inspire our small-batch creations.
