Blake and Brian Young are 5th generation greenhouse growers, with their mother, Sandy covering the Floral section. They cultivate vegetables, herbs, perennials, cut flowers, hanging baskets, and houseplants for several local businesses, home gardeners and small farmers. They use conventional methods of growing and use Integrated Pest Management (IPM), a sustainable approach that minimizes pesticide use by prioritizing prevention, non-chemical methods, and beneficial insects, reserving pesticides only when necessary. Young’s Greenhouse also offers a wide selection of bulk and pre-packaged seeds and has knowledgeable staff for every level of grower.
